This is a Cape Cod favorite! The beach plums grow wild along beaches and my good friend, Beach Plum Mike, picks us all we can handle. It’s a lot of work to turn them into a jelly but when it’s done there is nothing like it. They are only around for a short time each fall but are worth the wait.

Every summer in the 1970s my family would spend 2 weeks at my great grandmother’s house on the north fork of Long Island. My mother & Nana would go down to Baillie’s Beach and pick Beach Plums which Nana would turn into jelly.
Dare I say that Al’s Beach Plum jelly is even better. Try it on buttered ‘Portuguese’ English muffins from Market Basket or even ‘Thomas’. If Summer had a taste this would be it.
Thank you Al for keeping those summer memories alive.
Everything you make is amazing and I love the unique flavors !

Best jam ever. Bought a jar when on vacation this summer and just had to have more.
